Chef Pieter engaged Jacaranda for all aspects of their company’s start-up marketing. This included the design of their iconic logo, creation of their website, and the layout of all their product labels. This project stretched us to learn lots of new skills like UPC barcodes, lists of ingredients, and nutrition panels.
It’s a privilege to be part of Chef Pieter’s stellar success as their fresh artisan dips frequently sell out local farmer’s markets, and are now available in a growing number of retail locations throughout the Fraser Valley.
The idea for Chef Pieter’s logo came from a brainstorming session where the clients brought up the idea of a cartoon chef. We took this idea and ran with it, creating a caricature of Chef Pieter himself. Complete with Canadian and Dutch flags to show his heritage, the look-alike cartoon chef is a dead ringer — if we may say so ourselves!
The emblem logo is combined with handwritten typography, clear sans serif fonts, and a splash of orange on the coordinating product labels and website.
